Late last year, state officials raided a Cancun taxi union office after three members were killed. The three men were killed by other union members as an inside job. A total of five people were arrested. Authorities later revealed that the men were killed for taking a stance against the sale of drugs on behalf of a criminal group.
Police have not said if the latest Cancun taxi driver arrest is related to a criminal group.
