City Hall reviewing 8 new Cancun real estate project requests

Cancun, Q.R. — Eight new real estate construction projects will carrying Cancun into the New Year. Three of the projects are in the Cancun Hotel Zone. The other five are residential housing projects in the city.

Nahielli Margarita Orozco Lozano, the Secretariat of Ecology and Urban Development of Benito Juárez, says there are at least eight new developments. Some of them are in talks while others have advanced to processing.

Orozco Lozano says three of these projects will be focused on the Cancun Hotel Zone, while the other five are intended to be developed within the Huayacán Avenue and Luis Donaldo Colosio Boulevard area.

The city is currently reviewing the three Cancun Hotel Zone projects, which she says, are requests to expand the number of hotel rooms.

The inner city real estate projects, she said, are housing developments. These new development requests are currently being reviewed to ensure adequate basic infrastructure such as water, sewage and power as well as access.

If approved, the housing developments are expected to begin construction in early 2025 and be ready within two years.
