Citizen Approval: Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama ranks first nationally

Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama has been rated the best in the country. Lezama was ranked the number one national position by citizen approval.

The November 2025 edition of the Mitfosky Ranking of Governors of Mexico shows that Mara Lezama, Governor of Quintana Roo, remains in first place nationally with 57.0% citizen approval.

According to the most recent Mitofsky ranking, alin the Top 5 are Ricardo Gallardo (San Luis Potosí, 55.8%), Pablo Lemus (Jalisco, 55.2%), Manolo Jiménez (Coahuila, 55.1%) and Tere Jiménez (Aguascalientes, 54.8%), all with approval levels above the national average.

The national average approval rating for 31 governors and the head of government of Mexico City was 49.8%, a reduction of 0.3 points compared to the data from last October when an approval rating of 50.1 percent was recorded.

The study reveals significant shifts in the monthly trend. Coahuila registered the largest increase in approval with +2.2 points followed by Jalisco and Puebla with +1.4 points each.

San Luis Potosí and the State of Mexico also showed significant progress.

By region, the Bajío-West maintains the highest average (50.9%), while the South and Peninsula present the lowest average (47.6%), reflecting regional contrasts in the citizen evaluation of state governments.

The Mitofsky Ranking is built from interviews with Mexicans over 18 years of age with internet access and offers a comparative and monthly reading of the perceived performance of state executives.
