Cancun, Q.R. — An investigation into a Facebook page owner of child pornography has lead to the arrest of a Cancun man. Carlos Francisco “N” remains in police custody after being arrested for human trafficking.
Authorities made the arrest Thursday from a home where, at the time he was taken into custody, two minors were found inside. Both were removed from the home as “possible victims” and have since been identified as those in photos and videos found in his possession.
The State Attorney General (FGE) said that Carlos Francisco “N” is facing possible charges “due to his alleged participation in events that could constitute the crime of human trafficking in the form of child pornography.
The FGE said authorities monitoring social media “detected on the social network Facebook, a profile that produced, shared and stored child pornography material. After various investigative works, they were able to obtain the name of the user of the aforementioned profile.”
A Cancun judge issued a warrant for the arrest of Carlos Francisco “N”, who was taken into police custody from a home in SM 60 Thursday.
“In that same place, two minors were rescued, a girl and a boy, who appear in the material (photos and videos) that the now detained person had in his possession.”
