Cancun, Q.R. — The State Attorney General’s Office has charged a man with attempted murder after he threw acid at his former girlfriend. The charges stem from an incident last week when the man was arrested from a private Cancun home after he allegedly threw muriatic acid at her face.
Josmar “C” was taken into police custody after arriving at the victim’s home in SM 251 last week where he threw acid at her face. Her eyes were affected.
In a brief statement, the agency said the FGE of Quintana Roo has filed charges against Josmar “C” “for his probable participation in the crime of attempted femicide in Cancun. The defendant threw muriatic acid at his ex-partner.” He is to remain in preventive detention.
