Cancun, Q.R. — Three people were left injured from a two vehicle crash in Cancun Thursday. Cancun Transit were made aware of the accident when a cargo truck slammed into the back of a city bus.
The accident happened around 10:00 at kilometer 15 of Kukulcán Boulevard in the Cancun Hotel Zone. Paramedics transferred the driver of the cargo truck to hospital. Two bus passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
According to the Traffic Department, the collision occurred because the truck driver was traveling at high speed and following too closely behind the bus. When the bus driver slowed to stop, the cargo truck slammed into it.
