Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun firemen were called to put out a vehicle fire after it burst into flames during an accident. City police were also at the scene where the car caught fire after slamming into the base of a metal billboard.
The fire happened after the driver of the car was involved in an accident in SM 200 around 2:00 p.m. In his attempt accelerate and flee the scene, he ended up eventually crashing his own vehicle.
His car was reported on fire by area businesses along Talleres Avenue and 155 Street, where he lost control and slammed into a metal billboard. As a result, his car caught fire and burned beyond saving. The driver was not found at the scene of his own accident when authorities arrived.
