Cancun, Q.R. — A car was devoured by flames after hitting a tree in a Cancun subdivision. Authorities reported that a Ford Fiesta caught fire and was completely devoured by flames after the driver crashed into a tree.
The accident happened after midnight Monday at the roundabout of Págalo and Papagallo Avenues in the Galaxias del Sol subdivision of Cancun. Witnesses called Emergency 911, who sent police and fire brigades to the scene.
Quintana Roo Police, firemen and municipality transit police of Benito Juárez tended to the accident. Authorities report that two people were inside the Fiesta, and that neither were injured in the crash.
The vehicle was transferred to the municipal corralón. No arrests were reported.
