Cancun undercover operation ends in arrest of two for sex trafficking of a minor

Cancun, Q.R. — The FGE reported the arrest of two males for sex trafficking a minor in an undercover operation. On Monday, the FGE said that investigative police from the Trafficking Minors Unit, detained Fredy “H” and Jonathan “Z” for their probable participation in the crime of trafficking persons for sexual exploitation to the detriment of a minor victim.

“In order to protect the best interests of the child, an undercover operation was implemented in which elements of the Investigative Police (PDI) captured the subjects in a motel located on the Cancun-Valladolid highway,” they reported, from which Fredy “H” and Jonathan “Z” were arrested.

The FGE pointed out that “these arrests represent the first outstanding case after the creation of the Specialized Unit for the Attention of Trafficking of Minors, in which two vehicles were also insured and the victim, a minor, was rescued.”
