Cancun Transit arrest out of control driver after plowing through city convenience store

Cancun, Q.R. — The driver of a private vehicle was arrested in Cancun Wednesday after plowing through a convenience store. Transit officials were called to a city’s 7-Eleven location in SM 502 around 1:00 p.m. where they found the small Nissan March embedded in the glass front.

Municipal police and paramedics were also called after it was realized the car hit a person inside the store. The driver of the private vehicle crashed through the glass facade of the store, injuring a customer inside.

Paramedics treated the customer on site, who was found with non-life-threatening injuries. Cancun Transit officers were tasked with determining exactly how the driver lost control of the car that resulted in them crashing through the 7-Eleven.
