Cancun, Q.R. — Elements of the Benito Juarez Police arrested three subjects in Cancun Saturday afternoon after being flagged down by a local who asked for help.
The local resident from Region 76 flagged down a police patrol unit around 3:00 p.m., reporting an armed taxi had participated in the theft of his property. Police were quick to scan the area, locating the taxi and its three occupants.
Police report the arrest of 29-year-old Julio N from Chiapas and two Cancun taxi drivers, Jesús N, 32, originally from Yucatan and taxi driver and Benito N, 27, originally from Tabasco. The Andrés Quintana Roo union taxi was seized along with the stolen property found inside the unit.
The detainees were made available to the Public Ministry for the crime of theft.
