Cancun suspect considered flight risk located by Interpol

Cancun, Q.R. — A suspected wanted for attempted kidnapping in Cancun has been captured. Personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office arrested José David “N” in Monterrey, Nuevo León.

José David “N” was served an arrest warrant “for his probable participation in the crime of attempted kidnapping in an event that occurred in Cancun,” the Agency reported Thursday.

“Given the possibility that the now detained man would leave the country, the FGE issued a red immigration alert against him, which was detected by Interpol Mexico personnel. An agent informed the Department of Extortions and Kidnappings of the FGE who had José David “N”,” they said.

Inter-institutional work between the State Attorney General’s Office and Interpol Mexico made it possible to complete the arrest warrant against the accused, who has already been transferred to Cancun where he was admitted to the Social Reintegration Center.
