Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun roadside breathalyzer tests will once again return to city streets starting next week. The stops will be placed in varying areas of the city’s main arteries after they were halted while the city purged what they called, corrupt officers.
The breathalyzer check stops will return with new Municipal Traffic Police, who are part of the city’s new system of trained officers. The Secretary General of the City Council Benito Juárez, Issac Janix Alanís was the one who announced the system will be back up and running.
“We should have it returning soon. We are waiting for the arrival of the equipment,” he said.
