Cancun, Q.R. — Area residents in SM 227 dialed emergency services Monday after witnessing a woman get gunned down. Residents who saw what happened told police that the woman was walking along 36th Street with her teenage son when someone from a vehicle began shooting.
Officers responding to the emergency call arrived to find the 45-year-old woman laying against a tree and her 19 year old son with a superficial leg injury. The deceased has been identified as Sonia Ines N.
Paramedics also responding to the 5:00 p.m. call for assistance arrived to find her already deceased. Her son was provided with medical treatment on site after suffering a bullet graze.
A search operation for those responsible came up empty handed.
