Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun police were called to the scene of a late night shooting that left one man dead. The unidentified victim was found shot to death inside his private vehicle shortly after midnight Monday.
When officers arrived at the SM 99 location, they found the SUV parked in front of an eatery and the driver dead behind the wheel. He had been hit twice in the head by bullets at close range. A third bullet hole was found, but missed its intended target.
Eye witnesses told police that after parking his vehicle, a motorcycle with two people aboard suddenly arrived and opened fire. They shot the man just as he was about to get out of his SUV and enter the eatery.
