Cancun, Q.R. — A man abducted from his motorcycle on 20 de Noviembre Avenue was rescued during a live chase. Police were alerted to the broad daylight abduction around noon and provided with a description of the vehicle used.
Using city surveillance cameras, Cancun police were able to locate and follow the car. The incident happened in SM 216 when armed men intercepted the motorcycle driver and forced him into their vehicle.
They fled the area with the motorcycle driver, leaving his motorcycle abandoned on the side of the road.
After C5 cameras located the black getaway car, police began a chase. According to their statement, two men were arrested and the victim rescued after stopping the car in SM 107. The victim was found bound laying on the floor of the car.
The Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana de Q.Roo reported the “SSC carried out the rescue of a person and the arrest of the two alleged perpetrators after the report of illegal deprivation of liberty in Cancun.

“In relation to the report of illegal deprivation of liberty in the vicinity of Supermanzana 216, the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Quintana Roo reports that after receiving the emergency 911, a Red Code was immediately activated.
“Security agencies implemented a search and rescue with the support of the C5 video surveillance cameras, resulting in the arrest of the alleged criminals in the vicinity of Supermanzana 107 .”
Police have not identified any of those involved. A motive for the abduction has not been made public.
