Cancun, Q.R. — The State Attorney General of Quintana Roo reports the arrest of Daniel G, a likely participant in the death of Solidaridad Police Commander Archi Yamá in September of last year.
Óscar Montes de Oca Rosales says that members of the Ministerial Police and National Guard succeeded in capturing Daniel G for the kidnapping and shooting death. He reports that Commander Yamá was approached by several subjects as he arrived home on the night of September 19. He was transported in a van and taken to SM 25 of Cancun.
Daniel G was identified as one of the people who carried out the surveillance and monitoring of Yamá from his workplace in Playa del Carmen to his home in Cancun from where he was kidnapped.
Óscar Montes de Oca Rosales says Daniel G was captured on the roadway in SM 201 of Cancun in the company of four others, one of whom was a minor.
He also reported that within the investigation, they have been able to identify four other probable material perpetrators related to the homicide, two of whom are currently being prosecuted for other events.
