Cancun police jail American for aggressiveness

Cancun, Q.R. — An American man was jailed over the weekend for aggressiveness against police. The incident happened Sunday near SM 23 of central Cancun when patrolling officers drove passed the man and he became increasingly aggressive.

The 34 year old was taken into legal custody from Tulum Avenue on charges of disobedience and resistance from individuals.

In a statement authorities said “the Municipal Secretariat of Citizen Security and Transit (SMSCyT) arrested a male for alleged disobedience and resistance from individuals on Tulum Avenue, near Supermanzana 23.

“The detainee uttered foul language against the municipal police officers when they were conducting a surveillance tour. When they intervened, the individual became aggressive and resisted, so he was arrested.

“Eduardo “N”, 34 years old, originally from the United States, was placed at the disposal of the competent authorities for the corresponding legal proceedings,” the Secretaría Municipal de Seguridad Ciudadana y Tránsito (SMSCyT)  reported.
