Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun police responded to the report of a fatal stabbing in SM 103 of the city Thursday. Area residents reported seeing the body of a man on the road. He had been stabbed.
An ambulance was part of the responding team who located the man laying on his back with a knife still in his chest. Paramedics pronounced him on scene.
Cancun police are investigating if the stabbing was a targeted assault or a resisted robbery after neighbors told police the now deceased was a local store owner who had just arrived to open his business.
