Cancun, Q.R. — Approximately 20 shell casings were found near the scene of a shooting against a Cancun business Wednesday night. A group of Cancun police officers were in a patrol unit near the area in SM 517 when they heard the shots being fired.
They arrived to find the façade of a veterinarian office riddled with bullet holes. They also located a handwritten threat, of which details were not specified.
Police canvassed the area and spoke with witnesses who reported seeing people arrive around 11:00 p.m. when fire were shots. They then flee before police could get there. A search was made for those responsible for the gunfire, but police were unable to find them. The area remains under surveillance.
