Cancun, Q.R. — Two Cancun police officers were transferred to hospital for injuries sustained after colliding with a private vehicle. The police unit and private cargo truck crashed at an intersection in SM 252 while police were in the midst of a chase.
Cancun police were attempting to arrest an armed man on a motorcycle when the accident happened. The police truck went through a set of lights on Págalos Avenue in pursuit of the motorcycle when it was met by the driver of the private truck.
The red truck was T-boned by the police unit. Two people from inside the truck were evaluated at the scene but not in need of hospital transfer.
