Cancun, Q.R. — Two men were arrested Tuesday morning amid committing robbery in a Cancun tire repair shop. The pair were ushered into the back of a waiting police unit when they were caught attempting to flee the scene.
Preliminary information details police received the report of a robbery in progress at 8:15 a.m., to which they responded. Upon arriving at the tire shop in Region 93, they found the front doors closed, however, a walk around the building is where they caught two men trying to run.
The pair, who have been identified as 38-year-old Jesús Daniel G and 18-year-old Ulices Jade M.C., were captured and handcuffed. The arresting officers reportedly seized a knife, two firearms and 12,000 peso in cash that was stolen from the shop.
Both were transferred to the Municipal Secretariat of Public Security facilities for processing.
