Cancun police capture alleged pedophile wanted in Baja California

Cancun, Q.R. — An alleged pedophile wanted in the state of Baja California has been captured in the city of Cancun. Authorities were offering a half-million-peso reward for information leading to the whereabouts of 46-year-old Ricardo Roberto Acuña “A”.

According to the State Attorney General’s Office of Quintana Roo, he is being investigated for the alleged sexual abuse of 14 students from an elementary school in the city of Mexicali.

The agency said Ricardo Roberto Acuña “A” was picked up on an outstanding arrest warrant from the Jardines del Sur subdivision of Cancun Saturday. His arrest was made in collaboration with the FGE of both Baja California and Quintana Roo. He was being prepared for transfer back to Baja California to face charges.
