Benito Juárez, Q.R. — A 38-year-old man was arrested in Cancun Monday by Quintana Roo police on attempted murder charges.
His arrest was made when police officers responded to the report of a person injured by firearm in region 207, indicating that those responsible had fled in a white vehicle. Agents implemented a search and location operation and were successful in locating the vehicle while being driven near avenida Chac Mool.
When conducting a review of the unit’s driver, a squad-type firearm was found with a charger as well as a backpack with various cartridges inside.
Police say they have arrested Alejandro N, who is being held for the prosecutor for attempted murder.
