Cancún, Q.R. — Quintana Roo Police officers detained two subjects in a Cancun taxi for drug and firearm related crimes.
Police say the two arrested were 41-year-old Antonio N and 27-year-old Luis N. The pair were taken into police custody in Region 233 of Cancun when, during a routine patrol, an officer witnessed the pair handling clear plastic bags inside a Tsuru car labeled as a taxi of the Andrés Quintana Roo Union.
Officers proceeded to carry out a review in which a total of 32 plastic bags of marijuana were found, as well as a firearm with a magazine with ten cartridges. Both were arrested and placed at the disposal of the ministerial authority for the corresponding procedures.
