Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun police officer reportedly taking a fast corner lost control and hit a small palm tree. Witnesses helped the downed officer until paramedics arrived.
The single-bike mishap happened around 3:00 p.m. and involved one Tourist Police officer stationed in the Cancun Hotel Zone. Witnesses reported seeing him take a fast corner when he lost control and hit the tree in the road’s central median.
The accident happened at kilometer 13 of Kukulcán Boulevard near La Isla Plaza.
Private paramedics arrived in response to the report and transferred officer Alejandro “N” to an IMSS hospital with a fractured leg. The officer was driving a patrol motorcycle at the time of the accident.
