Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun motorist was killed Thursday morning in a rollover. The crash happened around 7:00 a.m. along a section of on Avenida Huayacán when the speeding driver rolled his white Volkswagen.
The car hit a public utility pole before rolling several times, finally landing its roof. The driver was ejected from the car. Witnesses to the accident made the Emergency 911 report.
Police found the driver several meters away from his vehicle on the roadway’s central median. Responding paramedics confirmed the death of the 40-year-old male driver.
Cancun Police reported briefly on the Thursday morning accident saying “a traffic event was reported with a deceased person in the area of Huayacán Avenue in the direction of the airport at the height of Bar El Mushasho Alegre.”
The deceased man has not been publicly identified. An exact cause for the fatal accident is unknown.
