Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun man was shot dead after being chased by individuals on a motorcycle Saturday afternoon. Police were called to the Vista Real neighborhood when the driver of the motorcycle fell to the pavement.
His motorcycle was found near the intersection of Monte Págalo and Monte Gibraltar avenues. His body was located several meters away. According to witnesses, the victim was being pursued by two individuals on a motorcycle when he collided with the back end of a car.
As a result of the collision, he fell off his bike. The men who had been following him got off their motorcycle and shot him at least five times. He was covered with a blue blanket after being pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Witnesses said the armed men then headed north. Police have not provided any details surrounding the targeted attack. The victim has not been named.
