Cancun, Q.R. — A motorcyclist died almost instantly after skidding and crashing into a concrete pole. The accident happened around 10:00 a.m. Friday along a section of Kukulcán Boulevard in the Cancun Hotel Zone.
Preliminary reports say the driver of the motorcycle lost control at kilometer 24 while taking a corner. His bike flipped over, which caused him to skid approximately 20 meters before coming to a stop.
Part of the road was closed while police dealt with the accident scene.
