Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun motorcycle driver in his 30s was killed Thursday after driving into an aerial lift. The machine operator was traveling through the Sacbé subdivision where he proceeded to make a sudden lane change.

The front portion of his lift swung into the lane at the same time the motorcycle driver was passing. The driver of the bike was hit by the front of the industrial unit and killed.
Authorities were called to SM 249 Thursday morning in response to the two vehicle accident. Paramedics confirmed the bike driver was dead. His body was found several meters from his motorcycle after being knocked off during impact.
The area was cordoned off by authorities and the operator of the lift arrested from the scene. Police did not comment on possible charges.
