Cancun, Q.R. — An accident between a motorcycle and car ended tragically early Wednesday morning. It was after midnight when the car and bike crashed along a section of Kabah Avenue with Nichupté.
According to preliminary data collected at the scene, a woman driving a white car impacted and dragged a motorcycle carrying two people several meters. Both the man and woman on the motorcycle were seriously injured.
They were transferred to Cancun hospital where the man died shortly after arriving. The woman, who is reported to be from Argentina, remains in hospital in critical condition.
Police have said that Cancun city surveillance cameras will be used to determine responsibility in the now-fatal accident. The young woman driving the white car was detained from the scene.
