Cancun, Q.R. — The cause of a fire that burned down of a small hardware store in Cancun is still under investigation On Sunday, Cancun firemen responded to the early morning fire inside a small strip mall of stores in SM 516.
The area was closed by Civil Protection, police, and Municipal Traffic agents so that the firefighters could attend to the mom and pop hardware store fire. The entire store was consumed by flames. There were no injuries reported, only extensive material damage.
In a breif statement, Policia Cancun reported “A fire was reported inside a hardware store on Politécnico Avenue at SM 516 in Cancun. Elements of the Cancun Fire Department and emergency units are working at the scene; no injuries have been reported, only material losses.”
A cause for the fire is still under investigation.
