Cancun, Q.R. — Forensic Medical Services were part of the team responding to the discovery of a body Wednesday. Emergency 911 were alerted to the finding around 11:40 a.m. by area residents in Tres Reyes.
City authorities located the body along a dirt road off a Cancun highway that leads to Merida. Reports say the person was found with a bag over their head. The remains were transferred to the medical examiner’s office for official identification. Police did not provide details regarding the sex or age of the body found.
The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) is investigating.
