Cancun. Q. R. — A mason died after he fell 12 meters from the roof of a building in the Lirios subdivision of Cancun.
Authorities say the accident occurred in Supermanzana 330 in Cancun at the construction site in the Lirios Fractionation. Police and medical were sent to the site in response to an Emergency 911 call at 10:30 a.m.
The deceased bricklayer has been identified as 36-year-old José Antonio S.P. According to on-site workers, the man fell after tripping over an untied shoelace. They report that he lost his balance and plunged over the side of the building.
Ministerial agents and criminal experts attended to the removal of the body, which was transferred to the Forensic Medical Service building.
