Cancun, Q.R. — Extensive material damage was the result of a fire at a small Cancun bazar. Cancun firemen were at the scene Sunday after being called to 79th Street in SM 92.
There, they found a market stall that sold used hotel items fully engulfed in flames. Market neighbors tried to put the fire out themselves, but were not able to. The fire is reported to have started on the second level.
Four firemen battled flames for around half-an-hour before it was considered out. The 8×10 meter stall area was left in burned ruins by the mid-day fire. There were no injuries reported. Authorities continue to investigate the cause.
