Cancun, Q.R. — An ambulance rushed a Cancun man to hospital Monday evening after he was shot outside a taco stand. The shooting happened in the Villas Otoch Paraíso subdivision around 7:00 p.m.
Police rushed to the scene at the intersection of Leona Vicario and Buganvilias avenue where they located the man laying on the sidewalk. Area neighbors reported gunfire to emergency serives who sent police.
Eye witnesses reported seeing men in a grey Voyager target the victim, who according to reports, was shot several times. Paramedics transferred him to the General Hospital where his condition was reported as serious.
The shot man is known locally as a dancer at street markets. He was shot near city surveillance cameras. It is not known if the shooting was a targeted or random attack. Police have not announced arrests.
