Cancun, Q.R. — A man who called in the suicide of his girlfriend has been arrested in her death. The incident happened Saturday in Region 222 when a man called authorities to report the suicide of his partner.
Cancun police responding to the call immediately noticed discrepancies in his version of events, which lead to an investigation. In a press release, the FGE says that Jonathan N has been arrested for his likely involvement in her death.
On Saturday, Emergency 911 received the call of the suicide of a woman in the Los Héroes subdivision. Officials who processed the scene and collected evidence realized that he had simulated a suicide, pretending that the woman had taken her own life.
Police interviewed the woman’s partner, who was caught in various contradictions about what happened. After gathering evidence from the scene, ministerial authorities arrested the man who has been accused of her death.
The couple’s two minor children were placed at the disposal of state authorities.
