Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun man was taken to hospital after being stabbed for resisting a robbery. The incident happened along avenue José López Portillo in SM 94 when a pedestrian was approached by another man who attempted to rob him. While resisting, he was stabbed.
Locals discovered the injured man laying on the sidewalk shortly after midnight. According to the police report, the man was stabbed once on the right side of his chest. His assailant fled on foot and has not been caught.
The unidentified man was taken to the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) in Region 94 for medical attention.
