Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun man who failed to pay child support for his two daughters will spend the next five years in jail. The State Attorney General reported that Edgar Arcángel Ochoa Sel was found guilty for “failing to pay child support for the minors from October 23, 2019, to the present date.”
According to authorities, “for his participation in the crime of failure to comply with family support obligations to the detriment of his two minor daughters, a man was sentenced to five years in prison,” the State Attorney General said.
During his hearing in front of the Family Civil and Oral Judge of the Judicial District of Cancun, he was also ordered to pay 136,600 pesos in unpaid child support to the victims.
