Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun man who was working under his car died Saturday afternoon after being crushed. Police were called to the private home off José López Portillo Avenue near the Santa Cecilia neighborhood.
The man’s family made the emergency report to 9-1-1 late Saturday afternoon after hearing a loud bang. According to available information, the jack holding the vehicle in place gave way. The man was found unconsciousness under the car.
Paramedics from the Cancun Fire Department responded to the 5:00 p.m. report and arrived to lift the car to free the man, however, he had already died.
