Cancun, Q.R. — A road accident at the height of the Morena neighborhood in Cancun left the driver of a motorcycle deceased.
The driver, Luis N, was allegedly driving his bike under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred. On his bike were two women, one of which was his mother. The accident happened around 1:20 a.m. on Avenida Rancho Viejo between Cancun and the municipality of Isla Mujeres.
The mother explained to police that she only remembers her son losing control of the bike then crashing into a CFE electric pole.
Both the mother and second women received minor injuries in the crash and were taken to hospital. The male driver of the bike was pronounced on scene.
