Cancun, Q.R. — A man who received a bullet in his neck remains in serious condition in Cancun hospital. The unidentified man was shot through his front windshield Thursday, while traveling along Nichupté Avenue in the city’s center.
The hit caused him to lose control of his white Honda Civic. He drove over the median and into oncoming traffic where he collided with another car. Witnesses told police that the Honda was paired up by another car when shots were fired.
A passerby held pressure on the wounded man’s neck until an ambulance arrived. The driver of the Honda was transferred to IMSS in Cancun in serious condition. The two people from inside the second car were unharmed.
