Cancun, Q.R. — A senor male was killed in a public transport accident in central Cancun on Wednesday. The unnamed 60-year-old man was killed after a collision between a bus and combi.
The accident happened just before 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of Tulum and Nichupté Avenues. Both vehicles collided after one is alleged to have run a red light, crashing into the other.
During the crash, a male passenger from inside the combi unit received a head injury. Cancun Transit Police were on scene clarifying accident facts, while Forensic Medical Services arrived to removed the deceased. Tow trucks were eventually called in to remove the two damaged vehicles.
