Cancun, Q.R. — A man who, according to witnesses, was speeding and without a helmet, lost control of his bike and hit the pavement, dying instantly.
The accident happened along 135 Avenue near Mallorca Residences around 8:00 p.m. where witnesses reported the man speeding on his bike when he lost control and slid approximately 19 meters. He was thrown from his motorbike and landed on his head. Accident witnesses called Emergency 911 after seeing the driver land head-first in the median. Police and traffic experts responded to the call.
The man was pronounced on scene. The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Cosme Damián D.T. Forensic medical personnel arrived to remove the body.
