Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun Hotel Zone pedestrian was killed Saturday after being hit by a van along Kukulkan Boulevard. Emergency services were made aware of the early morning accident by motorists.
City emergency services responding to the reports arrived around 6:40 a.m. to find a deceased adult male. The man was crossing the wet road outside of a pedestrian crossing when he was struck.
The driver of the public transport van, 60-year-old Arturo “N”, was arrested at the scene. Paramedics confirmed the death of the pedestrian who was located in the central medial of the boulevard.
