Cancun home left gutted by late night fire

Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun firemen attended to a house fire in region 101 Tuesday night. The home located on 133rd Street was left completely gutted. Firemen have not reported on a cause for the late night fire but have hinted that it was electrical-related.

Neighbors called for help after flames began shooting out windows of the home on the corner of 30th Street late Tuesday. Cancun firemen were quick to the scene, however, the house was already fully engulfed by the time they arrived.

“Colleagues from the Cancun Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at a home located near Region 101. Thanks to the prompt response and coordination of the team, the fire was quickly extinguished and prevented from spreading to nearby homes. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, only property damage.

“Always ready to serve and protect our community. Remember: check your electrical installations, avoid overloading outlets, and have a fire extinguisher at home. Prevention can save lives.”
