Cancun, Q.R. — A new mobile police booth has been installed in Cancun by the State Secretariat of Public Security to increase security in the area.
The new police booth was placed in Americas II in response to local area residents who requested an increase in police presence. The booth, which is permanent, can be raised several meters into the air, allowing police a wider aerial view.
Residents of Americas II have seen an increase in theft and alterations of public order, which have created numerous 911 call responses. The newly installed police booth hopes to counter that insecurity.
