Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun home was left in ruins Wednesday after an intense fire ripped through the inside. A 9-1-1 call alerted firemen to the SM 66 house fire where they found a family inside trying to save items.
After being evacuated, firemen went to work at extinguishing flames. Due to the amount of items inside the home, the fire required additional efforts to fully put out since it was quick to spread from room to room.
Cancun firemen reported “working tirelessly to control the fire”. They also reported no injuries in the Wednesday blaze that left the home completely destroyed.
In a briefing, Bomberos Cancun said “we report that there were no injuries in the SM 66 incident. Our team worked tirelessly to control the fire and we confirmed that the location is now out of danger.”
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
