Cancun firemen save tire shop in late night blaze

Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun firemen saved a tire shop from being consumed by a late night blaze Sunday. The fire happened inside a tire shop in SM 60 Sunday night.

Personnel from the Cancun fire department had to force their way inside since the company was closed at the time. Once inside, they located a section of the shop in flames.

The fire appeared to have started in a machine section of the tire shop. There were no injuries reported regarding the fire. Cancun firemen were supported by local police who directed traffic around the area while firemen worked.

In a statement, Bomberos Cancun said “personnel from the Cancun Fire Department fought and extinguished a fire at a commercial tire shop near Super Manzana 60.

“Due to the emergency, a forced entry was necessary to access the affected area. We deeply appreciate the support provided by our colleagues from the Cancun Police, Cancun Traffic, and the Mexican Red Cross Cancun Delegation, who worked together to safeguard everyone’s safety.
