Cancun driver shot to death in targeted attack

Cancun, Q.R. — An abandoned motorcycle believed used in a deadly Cancun shooting has been found. The bike was located by police Tuesday afternoon after a search for the gunman.

At least two people are being looked for after a man was shot to death inside his vehicle in SM 65 shortly before 2:00 p.m. The man was shot in the targeted shooting while dropping his wife off at work.

While stopped outside the 11th Street clinic where she worked, a lone male is reported to have approached the vehicle and opened fire against the male driver. The gunmen then fled on foot to a waiting car. It is believed the abandoned motorcycle was how he arrived.

The deceased man has been identified as Delfino “V”, the husband of a doctor from the clinic and brother-in-law of the owner.

Police have not commented publicly on the shooting. Authorities have not provided information on a motive for the attack.
